Updates on happenings with Covenant Advent Church

We all have basic physical needs that have to be taken care of which makes it impossible to work in any type of job or ministry without receiving payment. Jesus’s ministry had a treasurer and He required that any disciple that ministered was to be compensated, “the worker is worthy of his hire”. Yet Christ denounced the greed for gain that was seen among the religious leaders of His day. Today we have that same problem where ministers are going beyond having their needs met, but instead they are focusing on prosperity.
Luke16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much. 16:11 If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true [riches]?
16:12And if ye have not been faithful in that which is another man's, who shall give you that which is your own? 16:13 No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. 16:14 And the Pharisees also, who were covetous, heard all these things: and they derided him.
