Love our enemy and do good to them that hate you

The biggest test of love is the giving of love to those who do ill to us every opportunity they get. The challenge we all have to face with loving our enemies is how to love while staying out of harm’s way. We are instructed by Jesus to flee persecution, hence it is probably hard to do good to those you are fleeing from, so Christ concluded (in text for today) by saying to pray for them which “persecute you”, which is better to do from a distance, especially if somebody is trying to kill you. So, in order to make a difficult point short, it is important in our social dealings that we determine if the situation we are in is just simple someone giving us a hard time or the person trying to do physical harm, in which we are to remove ourselves. The take away point is, we are to love our enemies even if they are of our household.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
