There is presently a developing class of superrich in our societies that strive to own everything. This trend is creating a large class of poor people who own very little and are indebted to the very rich. With that thought in mind, financial wisdom is to own, downsize, and get out of debt through a change of taste, lifestyle, and mindset. We are consumers and our consumerism is calibrated through desires and appetite. One of the first things to gain from financial wisdom is a paradigm shift. Without a paradigm shift in one’s own personal financial philosophy one is left to be controlled by the moneyed class marketing hype machine, which leave most of our society as rabid consumers to the delight of the moneyed class.
James5:1 Go to now, [ye] rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon [you].
5:2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are motheaten.
5:3 Your gold and silver is cankered; and the rust of them shall be a witness against you, and shall eat your flesh as it were fire. Ye have heaped treasure together for the last days.
5:4 Behold, the hire of the labourers who have reaped down your fields, which is of you kept back by fraud, crieth: and the cries of them which have reaped are entered into the ears of the Lord of sabaoth.
5:5 Ye have lived in pleasure on the earth, and been wanton; ye have nourished your hearts, as in a day of slaughter.
5:6 Ye have condemned [and] killed the just; [and] he doth not resist you.
God’s blessing on you today.
