Like with any other thing a person can purchase it is important not to purchase too much clothing, it can become a problem where people can financial ruining themself every time they go out to shop. I have dealt with an individual who was carrying $50,000 in credit cards debt, spent primarily on clothes shopping. This is excessive for the average person, although for some sectors of our society it might sound reasonable. The Bible gives direction on how a Christian woman should carry herself, which will help all avoid this type of exorbitant spending.
1 Peter3:2 While they behold your chaste conversation [coupled] with fear.
3:3 Whose adorning let it not be that outward [adorning] of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel;
3:4 But [let it be] the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, [even the ornament] of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.
1 Timothy2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
