The negative effects of loss of self-control upon society

Unlike any other time in recent history the negative effects of (excessive) eating, drinking, and marrying is seen in society. The only historical time period in which eating, drinking, and marrying has being taken to such excess, has being in the time of Noah (just before the flood). The loss of self-control in these areas of life has given rise to diseases, social instability, mental problems, and moral depravity. This is a sign that we are nearing the second coming of Jesus because the fact that society is now training a generation to believe that it is okay to live without self-control and even to be proud of their loose lifestyle and to flaunt it in our faces.
Matthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,
24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
