Our walk with God in this present life is a sampling of our walk with God in the regeneration. Each day we get a very small taste of what life will be like living how God originally intended. Today we enjoy the health benefits of eating healthier food; we enjoy true long-term relationships and enjoy blissful companionship; we worship God in the beauty of holiness; we worship God in relative peace; we know the joy of love and law, etc. Yet all these beautiful experiences are a foretaste of heaven and the blessings to be gained there for eternity.
Matthew 19:27 Then answered Peter and said unto him, Behold, we have forsaken all, and followed thee; what shall we have therefore? 19:28 And Jesus said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That ye which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
