I noticed that there are similarities between Joseph and Daniel. They were both prisoners or captives at the time where the king’s dreams occurred. They were both about the future, and both kings were pagan worshipers. (just a thought)

Good observation. They were also young, faithful people in trying circumstances.

the wisemen were telling the king to give him the interpretation and they told the king that what he was asking was impossible. Daniel however told him that he needed time to interpret the dream. In other words, Daniel did not tell the king that he could not do it like the wise men did.

its interesting to compare; the wisemen’s ways, which is worshiping idols leads to death and Daniel’s ways worshiping the only living God leads to life

Exactly! Not to mention that Nebuchadnezzar seems to have had suspicions that the wise men would only try to give him some flattering interpretation & not the truth.

we have to be put through fire to develop patience and humility; Daniel and the others went through that fire already by being captured by heathens. They were taken out of their homes and were surrounded by pagan worshipers. After all that, they saw that God carried them through that and was still with them and He continued to bless them.

people not be thankful to God for His blessings reminds me of what happened in Luke 17 where ten people were cleansed by Jesus and only one came back to thank and worship Jesus and Jesus asked were not all ten cleansed? but where are the nine?

no, He probably still answered our prayer. Sometimes we should be grateful for His answer whether it was what we wanted it or not because whatever the answer was, we have to have faith that it was for our good.

Excelleny point. That’s where we fail; not having the faith that the Father ultimately knows what is best & we need to have faith that He knows what is best & will always act in our best interest.
